From our friendly staff to our wide selection of top-notch kayaks,
paddle boats and stand up paddleboards, Rowing Dock is the best spot to enjoy
Town Lake. Our rental boats are easy to use even for beginners.
All ages are welcome. All of the boats are virtually “un-tippable,”
simple to maneuver and lots of fun. Rowing Dock is open
year-round, and no reservations are necessary. We offer easy parking
in our huge gravel lot and have everything you need for your
paddling experience, including paddles and lifejackets.

 Stand
Up Paddle Boarding, also known as SUP, is a popular sport
for fitness and recreation. Rowing Dock is working with
Austin Paddle Sports to bring
you the best boards in Texas. All rentals require a quick checkout
with a certified Rowing Dock team member and they do not require
reservations. The boards allow you to see Town Lake from a different
vantage point and are easy to maneuver. Everyone must wear a life
jacket and no one under 13 is allowed on a board. Paddle boarding
fits well with the outdoor lifestyle and recreation in Austin. With
safety guidelines in place and enforced, Rowing Dock supports paddle
boarding as a great addition to Town Lake sports.

 To rent a boat, visit Rowing Dock during open hours and
we’ll get you on the water. We accept checks and cash only.
Credit cards are not accepted. We rent by the hour.
Purchase kayak punch cards at the Dock or
e-mail info@rowingdock.com.
Punch cards are valid for one year from the date of purchase and
must be presented to the dock attendant at time of rental.
Waiver forms must be filled out for all rentals and punch card
holders.

Are you ready to make kayaking a part of your routine? Get
unlimited use of our kayaks, paddle boards, paddle boats and row
boats with a 3-month or 1-year membership. During open hours,
members can use a single kayak or bring friends and family to
take out the double or triple kayaks and paddle boats. The
memberships are good for one boat, one hour at a time. All
prices include tax, and we do not charge interest on debit
memberships.

To mail in payment for a 3-month, 6-month or 1-year membership, download
the Kayaking Enrollment Form. Mail the completed form and your
check to Rowing Dock, P.O. Box 685162, Austin, TX 78768 or drop
off your form and check in person at Rowing Dock to activate
your pass or membership.
To sign up for a 1-year debit membership or a month-to-month
debit membership, download
and complete the Kayaking Enrollment Form and Bank Debit
Agreement and attach a voided check. Either mail or bring forms
and voided check to Rowing Dock to activate your membership. All

Learn how to get the most of your paddle on Town Lake, prepare
for your next adventure race or get ready for a paddling
vacation with kayaking lessons. Our kayaking coach will teach
you basic paddling skills to improve your efficiency. Packages
cover basic strokes and maneuvering, paddle braces and Town Lake
treasures and hazards.

Our staff is experienced in designing custom adventures for
groups of 10 to 50 people. Rowing Dock can create the perfect
outing for your friends, family, youth group, Girl Scout or Boy
Scout troop, school or business.
Scout troops can earn water and river badges in a safe, fun
environment. Your corporate team, fitness club or church group
can enjoy treasure hunts, geocaching, relay races and Town Lake
tours. Group adventures are a fun and unique way to celebrate
family reunions or show employee appreciation. Regardless of
your group’s size or purpose, Rowing Dock can provide the
ultimate water experience.
